Creating a perfume for Diptyque is like writing a book. First, there has to be a story. For L'Eau Papier, I started from one main ingredient: Grains, specifically sesame and an extract from its roasted seeds, to embody the smell of the ink and create a refined epicurean nuance. Then I refined the composition with musk notes to give it more sensuality. The powdery notes of mimosa underline the paper accent. Just as ink spreads differently on the page, L'Eau Papier comes out in many different nuances from skin to skin and over time.
